Reds Mascot Falls, Loses Head

In the pre-game of Wednesday’s contest between the Cincinnati Reds (my hometown team) and the Chicago Cubs, the Reds mascot Mr. Redlegs falls from the back of an ATV and loses his head. Literally.

The Reds crushed Chicago 9-0 in that game. I could see this becoming a pre-game ritual.

Take the head of a white bigot and transplant it onto Rosey Grier’s body (one of the “Fearsome Foursome” who apparently  was into needlepoint) and you have the 1972 comedy/scifi movie “The Thing With Two Heads“, a movie that makes “Dude, Where’s My Car?” look like “Citizen Kane“.  Here’s the trailer.  Yeh…
