Another day in Charlotte. Let me summarize:

  • Drivers in this area are keen to pull a u-turn whenever they feel like it, which apparently is quite often. It seems to be legal down here, like in other parts of the South. Maybe that’s why they lost the Civil War. Viva La Union!
  • There’s a guy in my class whose name is Michael Knight. Yeah, like David Hasselhoff from that iconic TV show, Knight Rider. He also seems to have Tourette’s Syndrome as he constantly talks to himself, yawns loudly, and grunts in class. Either that or he just huffed too much paint thinner back in Atlanta. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt for now.
  • To the lady in my class with the pants pulled up to her scapula and the unibrow: “You ARE the weakest missing link. Goodbye!”
  • Say what you will about Microsoft, they always manage to give out decent schwag (although it’s not as good as it used to be and I heard the Tech Ed laptop cases from this past year were along the same quality as a handbasket sewn from the excrement of diarrheatic hippo). Here’s what I got today:

fleece pullover
cd case
retractable USB cable
illuminated mouse pad with 4-port USB hub
urban laptop case (obviously the best piece in the bunch; has pockets for sunglasses, portable media player, cell phone, water bottle, crack pipe, flame thrower, and emergency rave kit)

Today’s random Mardi Gras celebrity picture is Jackie Gleason (”The Great One”; as hard as he tried, he couldn’t catch the Bandit: “There is no way, NO way that you came from my loins. The first thing I’m gonna do when I get home is punch your momma in the mouth.”).
